OnePlus on Thursday announced the Nord CE 5G for the Indian market. The phone is a slightly improved version of the original Nord that launched last year. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G price in India and sale date were revealed during the launch event yesterday. Key Nord CE 5G specs include the Snapdragon 750G chipset, up to 12GB RAM, 64MP primary camera, 90Hz AMOLED display, and a 4,500mAh battery. Ahead of the phone’s sale in India, here are 5 things you need to know about the new OnePlus Nord CE 5G.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G price in India

The OnePlus Nord price in Inda starts from Rs 22,999 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants are priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999, respectively. The 

OnePlus Nord CE 5G pre-order begins today

The Nord CE 5G will be up for pre-orders in India today starting from 12 PM IST. The pre-order will only be available for 30 minutes until 12:30 PM, so make sure to log in at 12 PM if you want to pre-order the device. You can pre-order through the OnePlus website or Amazon. You can avail Rs 500 Amazon pay cashback and Rs 1,000 off with HDFC Bank cards and EMI.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G open sale date

The new Nord device will go on open sale in India starting June 16th. However, it will be interesting to see if the 6GB RAM base model will be available during the first sale. The OnePlus website currently lists the base model as unavailable, with only the 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM options up for grabs.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone comes equipped with a triple camera system that includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP portrait camera. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T Plus fast charging.

How different is the Nord CE from the Nord?

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G gets a slightly underpowered chipset compared to the original Nord, but there a few enhancements under the hood as well. The Nord CE gets a better 64MP primary camera compared to the 48MP sensor on the Nord. The battery has also been increased to 4,500mAh from 4,115mAh. Notably, the new Nord comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and is slimmer at 7.9mm.
