- OnePlus Nord listing is likely fake as it’s using an old render of the phone with a centered punch-hole cutout
- The OnePlus Nord camera specifications listed are not in line with recent reports
- OnePlus Nord is set to launch in India on July 21st
OnePlus Nord is set to launch on July 21st in India and the company has been teasing some features about the upcoming mid-range phone. We already know that it will have a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout, a vertical rear camera system, and that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 765g SoC. OnePlus has also revealed that the OnePlus Nord price will be below $500. Now, while we wait for the India launch, an e-retailer in Romania has listed the OnePlus Nord price and specifications, but they don’t seem to be in line with what OnePlus has revealed so far.
Firstly, the image being displayed the retailer site is an old render that is confirmed to be false now that OnePlus has revealed the design. The render on the retailer site shows a single centre-aligned punch-hole cutout, whereas the actual OnePlus Nord will have a dual-punch hole cutout on the corner. Not just that, the specifications listed also don’t fall in-line with the most recent leaks.
Furthermore, according to the listing, OnePlus Nord will be priced at RON 2,300 (around Rs 40,200 or $535), which is slightly higher than the promised sub-$500 price tag. As for the specifications listed, the OnePlus Nord will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which sounds about right although the company is yet to confirm the RAM and storage option. A Geekbench listing revealed the phone will come in a 12GB RAM option as well. The handset is also listed with a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, which we cannot confirm just yet.
Earlier today we’ve come across a rather trusted report that claimed the OnePlus Nord will have 48MP quad-camera setup. However, the listing contradicts that and suggests it’ll have triple lenses with 64MP primary sensor, 16MP secondary lens and a 2MP third sensor. The phone is further listed with a 4,300mAh battery, which is yet to be confirmed. All in all, the listing seems to be based on leaked reports rather than actual specifications, and should be taken with a fistful of salt.
