OnePlus on Thursday refreshed its smart TV lineup with the launch of OnePlus TV U series and Y series in India. The U series include a 55-inch model, whereas the OnePlus Y series comprises 32-inch and 43-inch models. These TVs have been priced in India more competitively than the OnePlus TV Q series from last year. While the company is promoting the 55-inch OnePlus TV 55U1 (first impression), it’s the 43-inch OnePlus TV 43Y1 that is likely to appeal to a bigger audience. Of course, this also means it’ll also be competing against a few notable smart TVs in the category. It sports a 43-inch 4K display with Dolby Vision, 178-degree viewing angle, 300 nits brightness, and MEMC technology. The TV is driven by quad-core chipset coupled with 2.25GB RAM + 16GB storage onboard.
Software-wise, the Nokia TV runs Android TV 9 out of the box. It built-in 24W speakers with Dolby Audio + DTS support, popular OTT apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube pre-installed, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store.
