OnePlus Watch launch date in India
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus Watch will launch on March 23rd. The smartwatch launch will be part of the OnePlus 9 event, where the company is going to unveil the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9R. There have also been rumours of OnePlus launching two smartwatches at the event. We will know more in a couple of days.
OnePlus Watch design
OnePlus Watch design has already been teased by the company, but we have our first proper look at it courtesy of popular YouTuber Unbox Therapy. The OnePlus Watch render was shared by the YouTuber, revealing the entire design. The smartwatch has a circular dial and what seems like silicone straps. There are two buttons on the side, one of which has “OnePlus” inscribed on it.
OnePlus Watch price in India (expected)
OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus Watch is going to be affordable. It is most likely going to be priced somewhere between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000, similar to the OPPO Watch. The OnePlus Watch will reportedly be available in both an LTE and a non-LTE variant, which will carry different price tags. Once again, we will have to wait a few more days to find out the official OnePlus Watch price in India.
OnePlus Watch specifications
While all the details aren’t known yet, OnePlus has officially revealed some of the OnePlus Watch specifications. According to OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, the smartwatch will not run Google’s Wear OS. Instead, the company will be using a custom version of RTOS for the OnePlus Watch. This improves the battery life, which is what most users want from a smartwatch.
Other rumours and reports have tipped that the smartwatch will get a 46mm dial. It is also expected to get a bunch of sensors including a heart rate monitor, and a SpO2 sensor. The watch will reportedly get IP68 water and dust resistance, and also a swimming mode, which means that it could be used for tracking swimming exercises. It’ll also reportedly get automatic workout detection, sleep tracking, and 4GB of internal storage. Since this is a OnePlus device, you can also expect the Warp Charge technology that’ll help you fast charge the watch.
Coming to the software side of things, the OnePlus Watch will have a simple user interface and will show notifications, let users answer or end calls, control music on your smartphone, control OnePlus TV, and more. The battery life is said to be great, and you can expect more than a week of usage from one full charge. Of course, this depends on your usage. As mentioned in the beginning, the Watch will most likely be offered in both LTE and a non-LTE variant.
The OnePlus Watch launch date is only a couple of days away, so we only have a short wait ahead of us before all the details are revealed, including its official price in India and sale date.
