After numerous leaks, rumors, and teasers, the OnePlus Watch has finally launched today as the first smartwatch from the company. The OnePlus Watch made its global debut alongside the OnePlus 9 series and the more affordable OnePlus 9R smartphone. It is the second wearable from the brand, with the first being the OnePlus Band. The OnePlus Watch comes in two variants, the Classic Edition and the Cobalt Limited Edition. The wearable has a design typical to Wear OS smartwatches. However, the OnePlus Watch does not feature Wear OS; instead, it comes with the brand’s own operating system. OnePlus Watch price in India is Rs 16,999 for the Classic Edition, though it’ll be up for grabs in April for Rs 14,999. The price of the Cobalt Limited Edition has not been announced yet. The availability details of the smartwatch are also yet to be announced. The OnePlus Watch should be available to purchase exclusively from OnePlus’ official online store and Amazon India.

The OnePlus Watch has a 46mm dial that houses a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution, offering a 326 PPI density. The smartwatch has a 2.5D glass. The Cobalt Limited Edition comes with sapphire glass that is aimed at offering a more premium look and better protection against daily wear and tear.

OnePlus hasn’t revealed which processor does the OnePlus Watch features or how much RAM and storage does it have. However, it did say that the smartwatch can hold 500 songs. As mentioned earlier, it comes with the brand’s own operating system. We are awaiting more details regarding this software. The smartwatch packs a 402mAh battery, which, according to OnePlus, is good for 14 days of usage. The brand also says that the smartwatch can last 25 hours with continuous workout-tracking using GPS. The smartwatch features Warp Charge fast charging technology that is claimed to offer a week’s battery life in 20 minutes of charge. The OnePlus Watch is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It also has a 5ATM water-resistant rating.

When it comes to health-related features, the OnePlus Watch offers a optical heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, a total of 110 workout tracking modes including indoor and outdoor exercises, stress tracking, and sleep tracking. Since this is a budget smartwatch, it does not comes with ECG functionality like the Apple Watch. The smartwatch has an accelerometer, gyroscope sensor, air pressure sensor, and GPS. Last but not the least, the smartwatch has a speaker and a microphone for you to take calls on it and you can use the smartwatch to control the OnePlus TV.

Design is one of the main deciding factors when people buy a smartwatch. While the OnePlus Watch doesn’t have a ground-breaking design, it does look very elegant and classy. The smartwatch, as I mentioned earlier, has a circular dial. One of the standout features of the smartwatch is that it has a Cobalt Alloy casing, at least for the Cobalt Limited Edition. The display of the smartwatch resides seamlessly in the casing.

The OnePlus Watch has two buttons on the right-hand side of the device with one of them having the OnePlus logo embossed on it. The left-hand-side is free from any kind of buttons. The smartwatch has a regular watch strap mount meaning that you can use any 20mm/22mm strap with it. Also worth mentioning is that the Cobalt Limited Edition comes with a vegan leather strap. All in all, the OnePlus Watch does look very premium.
