“OPPO was speculated to announce the multi-zoom camera feature at the CES 2019 or MWC 2019“
OPPO – as a smartphone brand – has been taking some long strides when it comes to innovation. The company has established six research institutes and four R&D centers around the world to focus extensively on innovation. A recent report had suggested that the company is working on a multi-zoom camera feature to be implemented in future smartphones. A recent teaser from the brand confirms that the feature is indeed coming.
The brand recently took to Weibo to post a teaser image of an upcoming event scheduled for January 16th in China. The translated text on the image reads, “Ten for see OPPO 2019 Future Technology Communication Conference, January 16th, China Beijing.” It is safe to assume that OPPO will likely announce the speculated 10X lossless zoom feature at the upcoming event. However, the poster image doesn’t reveal much else. The teaser also contradicts the previous reports that OPPO will showcase the feature at next year’s CES or MWC 2019. It seems that the brand is preempting the unveiling and we have reasons to believe that at the CES or MWC 2019 we might actually see smartphones featuring the technology.
Speaking of which, there are rumours that OPPO’s upcoming F19 duo might have the 10X hybrid optical zoom. According to the recent leaks, the OPPO F19 and F19 Pro are expected to come equipped with same triple camera setup like the recently launched R17 Pro. A recent rumour also suggested that the F19 duo will have the Snapdragon 670 chipset powering the performance. The displays on the upcoming smartphones are tipped to offer a higher screen-to-body ratio. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the upcoming flagship apart from this.
OPPO might showcase the new smartphones with the camera feature at the upcoming MWC 2019. We will bring you more updates as and when they come up, so stay tuned.
