Just a couple of days ago, OPPO launched its latest budget smartphone called the A1K in Russia. Before the unveiling, we exclusively reported that the company will be launching the handset in the Indian market soon, apart from revealing it’s pricing recently. Now, our retail sources have revealed the availability details of the handset for the sub-continent.
Our sources tell us that OPPO will be launching the A1K in India on May 2nd. The phone will be available at the same time via major brick-and-mortar stores across the country. As far as the handset’s online availability, we can’t confirm if it will be available through the e-tailers or not at the moment. The device will be available in a single variant that will set you back by Rs 7,990.
Talking about the specs, the OPPO A1K features a 6.1-inch display bearing a resolution 1,560 x 720 pixels and a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass on top, and boots ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor, aided by 2GB of RAM and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The storage capacity on board is 32GB, which can be further increased by up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card.
In the imaging department, the OPPO A1K sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. In terms of connectivity, the handset gets 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery and Red / Black colour variants complete the list of the specifications of the handset.
