OPPO A3 with notch display and Helio P60 SoC launched in China

“Similar to the F7’s Diamond Black edition, the A3 comes with an attractive diamond cut pattern at the back with a glass-like finish”

After being spotted in leaked renders and on the 3C certification website, OPPO has finally launched its mid-range smartphone in China. Dubbed the A3, it’s the third offering from the company’s stable to offer a notch display after the OPPO F7 (review) and R15 duo. Taking design cues from the F7, the OPPO A3 also comes with an attractive diamond cut pattern at the back with a glass-like finish.

Jumping directly into the specifications, the OPPO A3 sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a taller-than-usual aspect ratio of 19:9. The handset is powered by an Helio P60 processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.0 out of the box.

Moving to the camera department, the OPPO A3 features a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter with a f/2.2 aperture for video calling and selfies. Fuelling the smartphone is a 3,400mAh battery.

Available in four different colours, i.e. Silver, Black, Red, and Pink, the OPPO A3 has already been listed on the company’s website and been priced at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs 22,100). However, there’s no confirmation if the phone will be making its way to other countries, including India.
