OPPO A5 and OPPO A5x specifications and design revealed via global listing

After appearing on the Google Play Console listing, the OPPO A5 5G has now been listed on OPPO’s global website along with the OPPO A5 4G and OPPO A5x. These listings reveal the complete design and specifications of the upcoming OPPO phones. The 5G variant of the OPPO A5 will ship with an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, and a large 6,000mAh battery.

While the complete specifications have been revealed, OPPO hasn’t disclosed the global pricing of the A5 series yet.

OPPO A5, A5 5G and A5x specifications

OPPO A5 4G and A5 5G

Display: The OPPO A5 4G sports a 6.67-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1,604 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate (120Hz on the 5G model), 180Hz touch sampling rate, 83 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1,000 nits HBM, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i rating.
Processor: Powering the OPPO A5 4G is the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset paired with Adreno GPU. The OPPO A5 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with Mali G57 GPU.

Cameras: The OPPO A5 4G features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. It gets a 5MP lens on the front for selfies. The 5G version gets an 8MP lens on the front for selfies.
Battery: Both phones get a large 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
Memory: The devices ship with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.
Others: The OPPO A5 4G and 5G phones get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP65 rating, and military-grade durability.
Colours: The 4G version will be available in Midnight Purple, Aurora Green and Mist White shades. Meanwhile, the 5G variant gets Mist White and Aurora Green hues.

OPPO A5x

Display: The OPPO A5x sports a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,604 x 720 pixels resolution, 1,000 nits HBM brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Processor: Powering the OPPO A5x is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU.
Memory: Up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
Cameras: The OPPO A5x features a 32MP main camera and an IR sensor. It has a 5MP front camera for selfies.
Battery: The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging much like the OPPO A5.
Others: A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP65 rating, and military-grade durability.
Connectivity: 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
Colours: Midnight Blue and Laser White colours.

The new OPPO A5 series will succeed the A3 lineup, which includes the OPPO A3, A3x and A3 Pro. There’s no word yet on when the OPPO A5 phones will arrive in India.
