OPPO A5 global variant appears on Google Play Console listing, key specifications revealed

The OPPO A5 could be launching globally soon, according to a recent Google Play Console listing. However, the global variant appears to differ from the version released in China, based on the specifications revealed in the listing. OPPO usually launches phones under different monikers in other markets outside China. The listing also gives us a glimpse of the OPPO A5 5G’s front design. Here are the details.

OPPO A5 5G Google Play Console details

The Google Play Console listing, as spotted by 91mobiles, shows the OPPO A5 with the model number CPH2735.
It includes the render of the OPPO A5, which shows it has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout and sizeable bezels around the screen, especially the chin.
The volume rocker and power button are present on the right edge.

The listing confirms the OPPO A5 5G packs 4GB RAM (3.7-3.8GB) and boots Android 15 OS out of the box.
The chipset section mentions MediaTek MT6835, which could be the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. It has two A76 cores and six A55 cores paired with Mali G57 GPU for graphics. In comparison, the OPPO A5 China model ships with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.
The OPPO A5 5G global model sports an HD+ display with 720 X 1,604 pixels resolution. However, the display size is not mentioned explicitly. The Chinese variant has a FHD+ display.

That’s everything that we know about the OPPO A5 5G global model at the moment, but it is quite evident that this will be a different model compared to the China version, which comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera, an 8MP front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

The handset will come as a successor to the OPPO A3 5G, which is currently available in India at Rs 14,999. It isn’t clear whether the OPPO A5 5G model will debut in India at the moment. We should know more details soon.
