The OPPO A3 Pro was launched in India in June last year. Months later, the brand seems to be gearing up to introduce the follow-up, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G, in India soon, 91mobiles has exclusively learned. We also managed to gather its launch timeline, durability details and some key specifications, courtesy of tipster Yogesh Brar. Here’s what we know.
OPPO A5 Pro India launch (leaked)
- Yogesh tells us the OPPO A5 Pro is expected to launch in India by April end. This means we should start hearing from the brand in the next few days.
- India will be getting the 5G version of the phone compared to the 4G model that is available in global regions.
- To recall, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G originally debuted in China last December. It’s not confirmed though if the same phone is coming to India or not.
- We also got our hands on a live image of the Indian variant. It has a square camera module, which is different compared to the circular design on the OPPO A5 Pro 5G in China.
OPPO A5 Pro specifications (leaked)- OPPO A5 Pro is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch display, much like the China variant.
- The handset is said to pack a large 5,800mAh battery.
- The new A-series phone could feature a 50MP main camera but details regarding other sensors are under the wrap for the moment.
- It is said that the phone would come with an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, similar to the OPPO F29 Pro.
That’s everything we could gather so far but considering the said launch timeline is inching close, we don’t have to wait for much longer to know more.
To recall, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G China version ships the following specifications:
- 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate.
- MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.
- The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. It has a 16MP front camera,
- An in-display fingerprint sensor, IP66/ IP68/IP69, Military-grade durability and 80W fast charging. It has a 6,000mAh cell.
The OPPO A5 Pro in China is priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs 23,800) for the base model. We should the India price details soon.
