OPPO has quietly taken wraps off its new A-series smartphone, called the OPPO A7, in India. The handset was reported to launch on November 27th in the country, but it has already gone live and is selling on the Indian e-commerce site – Flipkart. The phone flaunts the latest waterdrop style notch display along with a dual camera setup on the rear panel, and a beefy battery that is touted to offer 32 hours of talktime.

The OPPO A7 price in India has been set at Rs 16,990. It comes in two colours: Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue. As for the launch offers, Axis Bank Buzz Credit card holders will receive 5 percent off on the purchase of the device. The OPPO A7 is also available with No-Cost EMI option.

Talking about the specifications, the OPPO A7 flaunts a 6.2-inch display with a tiny cutout up top and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8 percent. The screen bears a resolution of HD+ (1,520 x 720p) and 271 PPI density. Under the hood, the handset rocks 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The phone offers a 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, the dual-SIM OPPO A7 flaunts a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary sensor paired with an 2-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary shooter and LED flash. For selfies, it gets a 16-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture lens, AI beauty, HDR, and bokeh mode. The camera offers 4x digital zoom and video recording at a resolution of up to 1,080p.
A 4,230mAh non-removable battery cell fuels the handset. Software-wise, the OPPO A7 comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. The phone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS.
