OPPO A7 could flaunt a waterdrop notch and a beefy battery, reveals leaked press renders

Chinese smartphone maker, OPPO is expected to launch its new budget smartphone on November 13th. However, ahead of the release, the press renders of the alleged handset has been leaked on the interwebs. The leak reveals the design and key features of the upcoming budget offering the OPPO A7. Straight off the bat, the phone could flaunt the new waterdrop-style notched display, a high screen-to-body ratio, dual rear camera setup, and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.


OPPO A7 specifications

The OPPO A7 has been tipped to house a beefy 4,230mAh battery, which is expected to last for more than a day on standard usage. As reported previously, the handset will sport a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of HD+ (1,520 x 720 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. At the core, the phone is said to employ 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC, accompanied by 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB storage. The latter is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. 


In the camera department, the OPPO A7 is likely to flaunt dual 13MP + 2MP sensors on the rear with LED flash and a 16-megapixel shooter up front. The front camera could also boast of AI Beautification 2.0, HDR and bokeh mode. Software-wise, the dual-SIM A7 could run Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the phone is reported to come with Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS + GLONASS, and USB OTG support.

The price of the OPPO A7 is not known at the moment. But, considering the brand’s previous A-series phone, the A7 is likely to bear a budget tag. Apart from this, the handset is tipped to arrive in two shades: Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue.
