Just last month, OPPO announced the launch of the OPPO A9 2020 mid-range smartphone in India and the new handset has received its first price cut already. As per our retail sources, the OPPO A9 2020 price in India has been cut by Rs 1,000 and the smartphone is now available for just Rs 15,990 in the country, down from its launch price of Rs 16,990. Apart from offline retail stores, this price is also reflecting on Amazon.in. Notably, just one variant of the handset, i.e. 4GB + 128GB, has received the price cut in India. This means the price of the 8GB + 128GB variant is still Rs 19,990.
OPPO A9 2020 specifications
Coming to the features and specifications, the OPPO A9 2020 features a 6.5-inch display with a waterdrop notch and HD+ resolution. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset and is offered in two variants with 4GB and 8GB of RAM, respectively. The smartphone packs a rather large 5,000mAh battery, which should easily last beyond a day. For security, there is an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner at the back of the handset. In terms of optics, the OPPO A9 2020 features a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and another 2-megapixel depth unit.
To recall, the OPPO A5 2020 was launched along with the A9 2020 and features a lot of similar specifications. However, in terms of optics, the A5 2020 comes with a 12-megapixel primary sensor, and all the other sensors remain the same. For selfies, the A9 2020 has a 16-megapixel camera, whereas the A5 2020 makes do with an 8-megapixel sensor. Apart from optics and RAM + storage variants, the handsets share rest of the specifications.
