OPPO A9 2020 gets Rs 3,000 price cut in India; now starts at Rs 12,990

OPPO has announced a price cut of Rs 3,000 on OPPO A9 2020‘s base 4GB RAM variant. The handset is now retailing at Rs 12,990 instead of Rs 15,990 via offline stores across the country, 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources. In online stores, the OPPO A9 2020 is available for Rs 14,990. The OPPO A9 2020’s 8GB RAM variant price remains unchanged in offline stores, but it’s listed on Amazon.in with Rs 18,490 price tag, down from Rs 18,990. The handset was launched in India last year in two colour options: Marine green and Space purple, and mid-range specifications such as waterdrop notch display, quad rear cameras, and a beefy battery cell.

The OPPO A9 2020 specifications, to recall, include Snapdragon 665 chipset at the helm, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard that can be expanded via a microSD card. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display that gets a waterdrop notch at the top. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is available up front.

Around the back, the OPPO A9 2020 features quad-camera setup, which is headlined by 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and dual 2-megapixel monochrome and depth sensors. The company has included a fingerprint scanner at the back for security. A 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone running, while Android Pie with ColorOS UI on top takes care of its software side of things. The phone also offers reverse wired charging, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and gets Widevine L1 certification.
