OPPO Ace 2 is scheduled to go official later today in China alongside the Enco W31 wireless earbuds. It is expected to ship with flagship internals such as the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G connectivity and a quad-camera setup. Now, ahead of the launch, OPPO Ace 2 display capabilities and key details have been revealed. The teaser video confirms it’ll have a 90Hz refresh rate with 180Hz touch-sampling rate, 96.3 percent DCI-P3 colour space and deltaE value as low as 3, which means it should deliver impressive colour accuracy. Additionally, the OPPO Ace 2 display offers a peak brightness of up to 819nits and 460nm blue light curve, so you don’t strain your eyes.
OPPO Ace 2 specifications
The OPPO Ace 2 is said to sport a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and possibly Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front and back. It is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It is likely to boot Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7 custom skin. As for the optics, it will have quad cameras at the back and a single camera in the punch-hole cutout. It is said to measure 160 x 75.4 x 8.6 mm and weigh 185 grams. The OPPO Ace 2 could ship with 65W fast-wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Lastly, connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C.
In other news, OPPO A92s colour variants and pricing tipped in the new leak. The poster image suggests the handset will be available in Black, White, and Pink colours and it will be priced at RMB 2,499 for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. The poster also confirms it’ll have 120Hz refresh rate making it the first in the A-series, 5G connectivity, quad-cameras in a square-matrix and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
