OPPO AX5s key specifications revealed by Bluetooth certification

The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore recently certified an upcoming OPPO smartphone with model number CPH1920. The device has now cleared the Bluetooth certification as well, suggesting the launch is imminent. The listing shows the OPPO CPH1920 will support Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy. The CPH1920 IMDA listing previously had confirmed the handset will be named OPPO AX5s.

The Bluetooth SIG listing of the OPPO AX5s smartphone also shows the smartphone’s specifications. It reveals the handset will feature a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution. The handset will be powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. While the processor name isn’t confirmed or revealed yet, it could be Helio P35 going by the clock speed.

The handset will pack a good 4230mAh battery and should produce good results. The device will also feature a fingerprint sensor, which will be positioned at the back, below the camera module. As for connectivity, it will have 4G LTE as well as Wi-Fi and will run on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android Oreo.

Apart from the AX5s, OPPO is expected to launch the new affordable A-series phones; the A1K and the A5s. While the A1K will be an entry-level phone with Helio P22, IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU that clocked at 650MHz. The A1K is reported to come in a single variant with a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, run on Android 9.0 Pie based ColorOS 6.0, and be powered by a 4,000mAh battery. Unfortunately, there is no word on the launch date, nor the complete specifications of the said phones. We will have to wait for some more time to learn more about the upcoming OPPO phones.
