“The upcoming OPPO smartphone comes has been tipped to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ screen“
OPPO smartphone with model number CPH1931 has now been spotted receiving Bluetooth certification. While we wait for the OPPO K3 launch in India next week on July 19th, the brand seems to be working on this new mid-range smartphone. The mysterious OPPO handset has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG’s certification document database. While we’re not sure of its name, as we mentioned earlier, the upcoming OPPO phone has been registered with the model number CPH1931. The handset is said to come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 600 series chipset – dubbed Snapdragon 665 (SM6125). The SoC was unveiled back in April, and it seems like the first smartphone to rock this chipset could be OPPO CPH1931 smartphone.
On the display front, the handset is expected to ship with a 6.5-inch screen with an HD+ display resolution. The Bluetooth certification document has further revealed that the OPPO CPH1931 will run ColorOS 6.0 with Android 9 Pie out of the box, support Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac. The phone will have quad-band 2G, tri-band 3G, 7-band FDD-LTE, and quad-band TD-LTE connectivity as well. The entire setup could be driven by a massive 5000mAh battery.
That’s all the information we can divulge about the handset at the moment. However, since the OPPO CPH1931 has already passed a certification site, we expect the phone to be announced in a few weeks.
Talking about the new Snapdragon 665 mobile platform, it’s forged using 11nm process and integrated with Adreno 610 GPU. It also supports dual-channel LPDDR4X RAM, 48-megapixel camera sensors, Quick Charge 3.0, and Snapdragon X12 LTE modem for a cellular download speed of up to 600Mbps and Wi-Fi with high capacity and broad range connectivity.
