“OPPO Enco Q1’s feedforward active noise cancellation uses an external microphone to identify the amount of ambient noise before it enters the ear”
OPPO Enco Q1, the company’s first Bluetooth noise-cancelling neckband headphones, has been announced in China. These come with 3D neckband design, an in-ear design, and have a curved angle for the perfect in-ear fit. These come with four microphones and feature both feedforward and feedback dual active noise cancellation. The feedforward active noise cancellation uses an external microphone to identify the amount of ambient noise before it enters the ear. It further processes the signal to ensure the exact and opposite signal leaves the speaker to cancel the ambient noise effectively.
OPPO Enco Q1 features a filter that is used to minimise the acoustical signal near the microphone. The hybrid noise cancellation uses both feedback and feedforward using four microphones, one pair per side. The OPPO Enco Q1 will be available in Orange, Black and White colour options. Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability details just yet, but we should know more information soon.
Separately, OPPO is also gearing up to launch a smartwatch sometime in 2020. The watch is said to come with a rectangular casing to fit in more information. This will be the company’s first smartwatch, and with the constant demand for smartwatches, it only makes sense for the company to jump right into it. However, nothing about the smartwatch has been revealed just yet.
