The OPPO Enco X4 is priced in India at Rs 19,999. The buds come in a couple of colour variants: Glacier White and Aurora Violet. Sale starts October 29th across India via OPPO’s official website and Amazon.in.
The OPPO Enco X4 boasts dual 11mm bass drivers and 6mm planar diaphragm tweeters, with dedicated digital-to-analogue for wide sound coverage. The earbuds also feature sound tuning developed in collaboration with Dynaudio to offer as many as five sound profiles, including Dynaudio Original Sound, Dynaudio High-Resolution, Pure Vocals, Crisp Highs and Thundering Bass.
The OPPO Enco X4 supports the LHDC Lossless audio codec, with a transmission bitrate of up to 2.3Mbps and support for audio at up to 24-bit/48kHz. The feature is designed to preserve more detail in compatible audio recordings during wireless transmission. However, lossless audio is disabled by default and requires a compatible OPPO Find X series smartphone.
Moving on, the earbuds boast a triple-microphone system, a 6nm neural processing unit (NPU) and adaptive ANC algorithms to cancel out background noise and deliver an immersive listening experience. OPPO claims a 100 percent improvement in overall noise cancellation performance and 30 percent stronger noise cancellation across speech frequencies compared with the Enco X3s.
The OPPO Enco X4 also uses Adaptive Mode with AI-based scene recognition to adjust noise cancellation and transparency settings according to the surrounding environment. For added convenience, the pair features Conversation Awareness that automatically lowers the music volume and switches to transparency mode when the wearer starts speaking. Not just that, the TWS earphones tout AI Clear Call, which uses three microphones and a voice pickup unit (VPU) to help reduce background noise during calls.
To enhance grip and prolonged usage, OPPO has redesigned the ear tips on the Enco X4 with foam silicone, developed using data from more than 2,800 ear canal scans, to provide a more comfortable grip. Other features include spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, a 10-band Sound Master EQ, dual-device connectivity and support for Google Gemini.
The earbuds also offer AI Live Translation, although the full experience is currently limited to select OPPO and OnePlus smartphones running ColorOS 17 or later. Then there are a few accessibility features such as remote camera control on select OPPO phones, head gestures for handling calls, and Neck Health reminders on compatible OPPO and OnePlus devices.
As for connectivity, the OPPO Enco X4 supports Bluetooth 6.1 and can connect to two devices simultaneously, including Android, iOS and Windows devices. When paired with compatible OPPO smartphones, its Smart Bluetooth feature is claimed to offer a connection range of up to 400 metres in open environments.
A full charge is slated to provide up to 13 hours of music playback, extending to 53 hours with the charging case. These figures are based on AAC playback with ANC turned off and the volume set to 50 percent. With ANC enabled, the earbuds are rated to offer up to six hours of playback on a single charge and 26 hours with the charging case under the same volume and codec conditions, which is still quite impressive.
OPPO claims that a 10-minute charge via a USB Type-C port can provide up to 14 hours of music playback. In terms of design, the OPPO Enco X4 features a combination of matte and glossy finishes, along with a charging case with metallic-finish edges. The earbuds are available in Glacier White and Aurora Violet colour options. They also carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, although the charging case is not rated for either.
