OPPO F17 series, which will include the OPPO F17 and OPPO F17 Pro, will be launching in India today i.e. September 2nd at 7 PM IST. The launch event will be live-streamed via the company’s official social media accounts. Both the OPPO F17 and F17 Pro will succeed the OPPO F15 from earlier this year and will ship with a quad-camera setup, sAMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor. The OPPO F17 series India launch event is scheduled to kick off at 7 PM IST and will be live-streamed on the OPPO India YouTube channel. OPPO said this will be a first-ever online music launch with some popular names in the music industry joining to announce the new devices.
OPPO F17 and F17 Pro specifications and prices (expected)
OPPO F17 is said to sport a 6.44-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display with narrow bezels and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. It is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for the optics, the standard OPPO F17 will have 16MP quad-camera setup at the back and a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone will house a 4,000mAh battery with 30W charging will fuel the phone.
Meanwhile, the OPPO F17 Pro is confirmed to ship with a 48MP quad-camera setup and dual selfie cameras in a punch-hole cutout. The camera will be backed by features such as AI Super Clear Portrait, AI Super Night Portrait, AI Color Portrait, and AI Beautification 2.0. The OPPO F17 Pro may also get the same 4,000mAh battery and 30W fast charging support. The smartphone is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 chipset. While the OPPO F17 Pro price in India should fall under Rs 25,000, we expect the vanilla F17 to be priced under Rs 20,000.
