To level the playing field, we’re considering only the 8GB RAM variants of each smartphone. While it is possible to get the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Realme X7 6GB RAM variant at lower prices, we’re using the higher-specced SKU to minimize the price difference. To that end, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max 8GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 21,999. The Realme X7 8GB RAM also costs the same. Meanwhile, the OPPO F19 Pro 8GB RAM option is a tad cheaper at Rs 21,490.

OPPO F19 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max vs Realme X7: specifications

Under the hood, the OPPO F19 Pro and Realme X7 are powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 and MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipsets, respectively. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max gets the Snapdragon 732G. This gives the Realme X7 a significant advantage over its rivals as it is the only 5G-ready handset of the lot. The Helio P95 is a dated chipset based on an older 12nm process. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, on the other hand, does manage to keep up with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC but it lacks 5G connectivity.

Display

All three smartphones come with an FHD+ AMOLED display. The OPPO F19 Pro and Realme X7 feature a 6.4-inch screen, while the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has a slightly larger 6.6-inch screen. However, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the other two are set at 60Hz.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max touts an impressive 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The OPPO F19 Pro gets a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. Realme X7 features a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro and depth sensors. Moving on to the selfie camera, all three phones come with a 16MP front-facing camera. Overall, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max edges out its competition with its camera specs.

Battery, Software, and Features

Once again, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max takes the lead with its 5,000mAh battery, which can be charged at 33W. The Realme X7 and OPPO F19 Pro both feature 4,310mAh batteries that support 50W and 30W speeds, respectively. One could argue that the Realme X7 wins this segment as it supports faster charging speeds. It is also the only phone that comes with a 65W fast charger in the box.

Weirdly enough, the Realme X7 ships with Android 10-based Realme UI out of the box. On the other hand, the OPPO F19 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max run Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 and MIUI 12, respectively.

Lastly, the Realme X7 and OPPO F17 offer an under-display fingerprint scanner, whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max settles for a side-mounted version. It is also the only device of the lot to offer an IR blaster. Other wireless connectivity options on all three devices include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
