We run the Geekbench benchmarking app for this purpose, which tests the processor’s single-core and multi-core performance. Below are the single- and multi-core Geekbench scores of the OPPO F29 Pro and Realme P3 Ultra.
The Dimensity 8350 Ultra powering the Realme P3 Ultra has a leg up over the Dimensity 7300 Energy of the OPPO F29 Pro. The Realme device scored 25 percent and 35 percent higher than the OPPO offering in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
Real-world context: The higher Geekbench scores of the Realme P3 Ultra indicate that it should handle daily and intense tasks faster and smoother. However, the single-core score difference is not significant between the smartphones, meaning the OPPO F29 Pro should make for a commendable everyday device.

As expected, the Dimensity 8350 Ultra’s higher clock speed with LPDDR5X RAM and optimised software helped Realme P3 Ultra score 55 percent higher than the OPPO F29 Pro.

CPU Throttle assesses sustained performance under heavy load (higher is better)
Performance-centric powerful smartphones tend to throttle their CPU to reduce clock speed and prevent overheating automatically. This usually happens when the smartphone is pushed to its limits, and that’s precisely what the 8-minute stress test of the Burnout app does. The app also measures the peak performance sustained by the device when the CPU is throttled to show you how well the device performs under duress.

The OPPO F29 Pro surprised us by retaining higher maximum performance when the CPU throttle kicks in. The smartphone retained around 65 percent of its maximum performance compared to around 50 percent for the Realme P3 Ultra.
