“OPPO Find X2 series will launch in India and several other markets soon, although an exact launch date is still unknown”
OPPO Find X2 and X2 Pro flagships were launched globally earlier this month. Now, the company has confirmed the phones will be launching in India as well. Although OPPO hasn’t mentioned any timeline, we can expect the Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone to land in India in the next couple of months as they was recently spotted at OPPO’s Hyderabad R&D centre running on 5G. Alongside India, the OPPO Find X2-series smartphones will also be available in major markets including France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia and more.
Separately, DisplayMate has rated the OPPO Find X2’s display A+ and called it “top tier, world-class” display. The Find X2 display uses Samsung’s Y-OCTA technology, which makes the panel thinner. It has support for 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate, and it can automatically switch between 120Hz and 60Hz based on the activity. The company says that it has worked with Samsung and Qualcomm to optimise its 10-bit HDR. It also added a screen calibration step to the manufacturing process, which takes an extra 26 seconds. OPPO Find X2 has also achieved 0.4 JNCD absolute colour accuracy.
Furthermore, the flagships feature an AI-driven system that automatically adjusts the colour temperature and brightness based on the ambient light. The phones leverage on the colour sensor to help cameras capture accurate sensors. The OPPO Find X2 also has the highest peak brightness with over 1,300 nits, lowest screen reflectance of 4.4 percent, smallest brightness and colour variation with viewing angles.
