“OPPO Find X2 will have a new Sony camera sensor, could come with an in-display selfie camera, and a larger capacity battery with 65W fast-charging”
OPPO Find X was launched in June 2018 with a completely notch-less design, thanks to the sliding mechanism. It was one of the most innovative smartphones back in the day, but then the company hasn’t made an announcement about a potential successor all this while. Changing that finally, OPPO has officially confirmed that Find X2 will be launching in Q1 2020 and it will be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 865 SoC and phone’s camera will be a focus and will use new Sony camera sensor. OPPO Find X2 camera will have high resolution, high sensitivity, high-speed focus, and high dynamic range compared to its predecessor.
Furthermore, the new sensor will use every pixel as a phase detection pixel; this means it can detect phase in both X and Y directions. The company also says that the OPPO Find X2 display would have higher resolution, refresh rate, colour accuracy, and dynamic range. It’s possible the handset could have an in-display selfie camera, which it showed off recently. While the company hasn’t revealed, the Find X2 could be fitted with a 65W fast-charging and a large capacity battery. It’s likely, and the device might make an appearance at the MWC 2020 show in February and go on sale at a later date.
Separately, OPPO is gearing up to launch Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro on December 26th in China. The Snapdragon 765G SoC could power both the phones, will have 5G connectivity support, and quad-rear camera setup. While the standard Reno 3 will have a waterdrop notch, the Reno 3 Pro will rock a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. We should know more information when the phones launch.
