“The OPPO Find X2 is expected to feature a 48-megapixel triple camera, along with a 120Hz display at the front.”
OPPO was scheduled to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X2, at the now-cancelled MWC 2020. With the event now cancelled, OPPO is slated to launch the smartphone sometime soon at an event on a later date. Now, OPPO Vietnam’s official store, via its Shopee online retail platform, has apparently listed the device ahead of its official unveiling, giving us a fairly detailed look at the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. While no pricing detail has come up yet, the specifications offer some suggestion as to how OPPO may line up the device.
According to the listing, the OPPO Find X2 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB native storage. MySmartPrice speculates that the smartphone may come with other RAM and storage variants as well, although the same was reportedly not detailed in the revealed specifications. In terms of the display, the OPPO Find X2 is said to feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 2K screen resolution and 120Hz fast refresh rate, which falls in line with the general trend in flagship smartphone displays of late.
In terms of the cameras, the OPPO Find X2 is said to be rather standard by recent flagship standards. It reportedly features a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary unit, an 8-megapixel secondary unit and a 13-megapixel tertiary unit, with the latter two expected to be ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. Upfront, the OPPO Find X2 is expected to feature a 32-megapixel sensor for the front camera. All of this is expected to be powered by a 4,065mAh battery with unspecified fast charging, and the smartphone will run on Android 10 with ColorOS 7 custom interface on top. The device will be available in Blue Ocean and Blue Sea Night colours.
Leaks and rumours had suggested that the OPPO Find X2 lineup may feature up to 65W fast charging, and will be 5G enabled with dual-5G mode. It has already been confirmed to feature a display that offers SDR to HDR video upscaling, and an in-display fingerprint sensor will be present in terms of biometric authentication. With the specifications revealed through the listing, all we await is for an official announcement of the updated launch date of the Find X2, after the initial one was disrupted by the Coronavirus outbreak in China.
