The much awaited and leaked OPPO Find X5 series of smartphones has been unveiled officially. The series includes the vanilla Find X5 as well as the Find X5 Pro, with the latter packing the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Both smartphones come with cameras that have been co-developed with Hasselblad, and also feature the custom OPPO-designed MariSilicon X image processing unit or NPU. The Find X5 and X5 Pro also share similar camera sensors, although the Pro does offer some extra features such as 5-axis OIS, a first in smartphones. While we don’t have their India prices at the moment, the OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro Europe prices have been announced officially. The standard Find X5 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost you €1,000 (about Rs 85,000) in Europe, whereas the Find X5 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at €1,300 (roughly Rs 1.10 lakh). Availability isn’t known yet, but it should go on sale soon. The phones are also expected to make their way to India as well.

Starting with the vanilla Find X5, this phone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone features the custom 6nm MariSilicon X NPU, which is claimed to help improve camera and AI performance. The smartphone also gets a 6.55-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also available for security.

The Find X5 has a triple rear camera setup that consists of two 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensors for wide and ultra-wide applications, alongside a 13-megapixel telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, a 32-megapixel sensor is available up front with 81 degree field of view. The 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor also features OIS. The smartphone gets Hasselblads Color Calibration feature.

With the OPPO Find X5, you get a 4,800mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and 30W wireless charging. It runs Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1 and features a 360 degree antenna for a stable 5G connection.

OPPO Find X5 Pro specifications

With the Find X5 Pro, you will find improvements in the camera, display, and the processor. This phone is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is coupled with up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and the MariSilicon X NPU. On the front, the phone gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1,300 nits of brightness, 10 bit color rendering, 100 percent DCI-P3 color support, and 1000Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and the back panel is ceramic. The phone also carries an IP68 rating.

Coming to the cameras, the Find X5 Pro also gets dual 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensors for wide and ultra-wide duties. Both have OIS, but the ultra-wide gets a 5-axis optical stabilisation system that’s a first in smartphones. There’s also a third 13-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x zoom. OPPO has used glass front lenses on all cameras for improved colour and reduces chromatic aberrations. For selfies, a custom Sony IMX709 sensor is available with RGBW pixels and the lens system offers up to 90 degree FoV.

The smartphone gets a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging (0-50 percent in 12 minutes) and 50W fast wireless charging support. It also runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 with plenty of new features and improvements.
