OPPO will take the wraps off its affordable K1 smartphone at an event in India today. The handset will boast of an in-display fingerprint sensor, Super AMOLED display, impressive front camera, mid-range chipset, and up to 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB storage. The company has said to offer the OPPO K1 at an “incredible” price, with the word around the block claiming it will cost less than Rs 20,000. The device will be up for grabs across the country via e-commerce site Flipkart.

In China, the OPPO K1 sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with full HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop notch up top. The screen also bears an optical scanner that works behind the panel to unlock your device with just a touch. The phone has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 AI processor ticking at its core, accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For photography, the OPPO K1 features dual 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensors with LED flash on the rear and a 25-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling on the front. The phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box and is fuelled by a 3,600mAh battery. Connectivity options like dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS rounds up the handset’s specifications.
