- Key specifications tipped include an AMOLED display, 48MP quad-camera setup, 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast-charging support
OPPO seems to be readying another 5G smartphone but in the mid-range K-series this time around, according to a tipster on Weibo. The handset will debut as OPPO K7 5G and will succeed the OPPO K5. It will ship with Snapdragon 765G SoC and retain the same 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie snapper. The OPPO K7 will have a quad-camera setup with 48MP primary sensor and pack a 4,025mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast-charging support. It could have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Unfortunately, other specifications haven’t been revealed at the moment but hope to come across more information soon.
Separately, OPPO Reno 4 Pro India launch date is scheduled for July 31st and will be available via Flipkart in the country. The handset debuted back in June and ships with a punch-hole edge-to-edge display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, 5G connectivity, and 65W fast-charging support. The OPPO Reno 4 Pro design and internal specifications could be slightly different from that of the Chinese variant.
On the same stage, OPPO will also debut the OPPO Watch and will be available in two models: 41mm and 46mm. While the former is said to cost Rs 15,000, latter is tipped to carry a price tag of 20,000. It runs on Google WearOS with the company’s ColorOS Watch custom skin overlaid on top. The smartwatch will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset and Apollo 3 co-processor. It will smartly switch between the chipsets to limit the battery consumption and task at hand. It is equipped with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. We should know the pricing and availability details next week.
