Some time ago, OPPO teased the OPPO K9 5G launch date and some specifications to boot. The smartphone is now official in China and comes with some exciting features, such as a high-refresh-rate display, 5G connectivity, and more. It is an incremental upgrade over the OPPO K7 from last year, complete with a Snapdragon 7xx series chipset. Everything else about the OPPO K9 5G bears the markings of a garden-variety OPPO smartphone, though, including the run-of-the-mill triple-camera setup. Let’s take a look at what the OPPO K9 5G has in store for us.
OPPO K9 5G price
The base OPPO K9 5G variant retails for RMB 1999 (approx Rs 22,000) in China. It gets you 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Upgrading that to 256GB of storage will set you back by RMB 2199 (approx Rs 25,000). Currently, the smartphone is only available for purchase in China. The smartphone could be launched globally but under a different name.
OPPO K9 5G specifications
The OPPO K9 5G ships with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 768 5G chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone draws power from a 4,300mAh battery that supports fast charging at 65W. It is set in a dual-cell configuration, meaning that it is actually two different 2,150mAh batteries working together.
At the back, the OPPO K9 5G packs a triple-camera array, which consists of a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. A 32MP sensor handles selfies and video calls. It runs Android 11 customised with ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.
