OPPO will launch the Pad Mini in India on October 22nd alongside the Find X10 series and Enco X4 TWS. The OPPO Pad Mini recently made its debut in China as a compact flagship tablet featuring an 8.8-inch display and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Ahead of its launch, a new leak has hinted at the India pricing of the OPPO Pad Mini, and it could be significantly higher than expected, potentially disappointing buyers.
OPPO Pad Mini India pricing leaked
The OPPO Pad Mini will reportedly launch at Rs 79,999 in India. The brand had initially considered launching it at Rs 94,999, but decided to lower it after feedback from retailers, according to information shared by tipster Gadgets Data. Based on this leak, the OPPO Pad Mini could be priced at Rs 74,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It is also said to get a 10 percent discount at launch as part of the introductory offer.
If the OPPO Pad Mini launches at Rs 79,999, it would sit in a much more premium segment than its rivals. For context, the OnePlus Pad 4 starts at Rs 62,999 and is among the top Android flagship tablets, while the iPad Mini, arguably the OPPO Pad Mini’s closest competitor, starts at Rs 69,900.
While the OPPO Pad Mini does offer capable hardware, a Rs 79,999 price tag could make it a much tougher sell against these established alternatives.
Speaking of which, the OPPO Pad Mini is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the same chipset found in performance-focused phones like the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R. The tablet has an 8,000mAh battery, teased to deliver all-day power. The OPPO Pad Mini also has a 144Hz refresh rate display, which should be beneficial while gaming. It has a compact 8.8-inch display, making it a good option for those who want something larger than a phone but still not too big. For optics, the OPPO Pad Mini features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
If you’ve been looking for a compact tablet that offers flagship-level hardware, the OPPO Pad Mini could be worth waiting for. However, it would be wise to compare it with rivals and see which option actually gives the best value.
