OPPO Pad Mini debuts in India with 8.8-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC

OPPO launched its latest flagship Find X10 smartphone series in India today. Alongside the smartphones, OPPO also launched the Pad Mini, its flagship compact tablet. The OPPO Pad Mini comes with a compact 8.8-inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and an 8,000mAh battery. It would be the closest rival to the iPad Mini in terms of the form factor and hardware. The Pad Mini also finally gives Android users an option of a flagship compact tablet.

OPPO Pad Mini price in India, availability

The OPPO Pad Mini is priced at Rs 94,999 in India. It’s available in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and in Lavender. The official sale for the Pad Mini is set to take place on October 29th via Flipkart and the Oppo online store.

OPPO Pad Mini specifications

OPPO Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch (2520 x 1680 pixels) 2.5K Matte Display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak full-screen brightness, and 3,200 nits peak local brightness. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the same chipset found on performance-focused phones like the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R. We can expect flagship-level performance from the OPPO Pad Mini.

The tablet packs a sizeable 8,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. With this battery capacity, you should get around an entire day’s power on the OPPO Pad Mini, depending on your usage. For optics, you get a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera on the Pad Mini.

The OPPO Pad Mini is designed for people who want a compact tablet, preferably for reading, consuming content, and casual usage. It also has a powerful chipset, making it a good option for intensive tasks as well. Considering its price, though, the OPPO Pad Mini makes sense only if you truly want that compact form factor for a tablet running on Android. Otherwise, you can consider affordable alternatives like the OnePlus Pad 4, which has a faster chipset and a bigger battery.
