OPPO Pad SE has launched in India as the newest tablet offering from the brand. This marks the return of the brand to the tablet category after the OPPO Pad Air in 2022. The OPPO Pad SE, which originally debuted in China in May, ships with an 11-inch eye-care display and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It also gets TUV Rheinland certifications, Smart Power Saving Mode that automatically saves energy by powering off the device after 7 days of inactivity. The company is promising ’36-Month Fluency Protection for reliable performance.
Delving deeper into the specifications, it’s a FHD+ IPS panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,920 X 1,200 pixels resolution, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 85.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 6nm processor paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics. The chipset boasts two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2.0GHz. In comparison, the OPPO Pad Air featured the Snapdragon 680 chipset.
The tablet is offered in three models: 4GB + 128GB (Wi-Fi only), 6GB + 128GB (LTE), and 8GB + 128GB (LTE). It runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15.1 custom skin out of the box. The software offers support for a dedicated ‘Kids Mode’ with a secure environment, and the ability for parents to control screen-time management and browsing.
The OPPO Pad SE features a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP lens on front for video chats. The cameras offer features like Photo Remaster, AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Clarity Enhancer, and AI Reflection Remover. The main camera is downgraded from an 8MP lens on the OPPO Pad Air. You get a 9,340mAh battery with 33W fast charging support on the OPPO Pad SE. It is claimed to offer up to 11 hours of video playback and 80 hours of music playback. This is a jump from the 7,100mAh cell and 18W fast charging on the OPPO Pad Air. The Advanced Smart Power Saving Mode on the OPPO Pad SE automatically conserves energy by powering off the device after 7 days of inactivity. This is said to deliver up to 800 days of intelligent standby.
The OPPO Pad SE price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB (4G LTE), and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB + 128GB (4G LTE). It comes in Twilight Blue and Starlight Silver colours. The tablet can be purchased via Flipkart, the OPPO e-store, and select OPPO brand offline stores from July 12th. There’s also the Lenovo Tab M11, which offers better camera performance thanks to a 13MP main camera and a large 11-inch display.
