The depreciation of the Indian Rupee could also be another reason for the price hike, as stated by Xiaomi. In order to keep up with the increased GST rate and profit ratio, smartphone brands can do nothing but increase the pricing of their phones. Brands like Realme, Samsung and more are also expected to announce new prices soon enough.
