“The OPPO R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition will flaunt all glass body and an iPhone X-like notch”
Going by the number of leaks and speculations surrounding OPPO’s upcoming smartphones – R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition, there is not much left to guess. Now, the handset maker has gone ahead and put all speculations to the rest by revealing the official renders of the smartphones. Notably, the brand recently listed the R15 and the R15 Dream Mirror Edition on its official website, and also started the pre-registration process. At the time, OPPO had mentioned that the next teaser of the devices will land on March 8th and the new official renders have landed just in time.
From the images, we can see that both these handsets will flaunt a premium glass-sandwich design with 3D curved edges. The OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition has been shown in a Thermal Red hue, whereas, the R15 seems to be flaunting Snow White and Star Purple colours. However, according to a previous TENAA leak, the R15 is also expected to come in Black hue. Apart from the colour options, we can see the rear mounted dual camera and fingerprint scanner. As for the fascia, both smartphones will come with a rather unusual 19:9 aspect ratio, Super View 6.28-inch display on the front with the notch on top. The new OPPO smartphones boast an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent.
Coming to the spec sheet of the smartphones, the R15 duo are expected to come with either Snapdragon 660 or MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, ticking at their core. Apart from this, the handsets are speculated to come with either 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The upcoming smartphones are expected to boot the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. In the imaging department, R15 has been tipped to come with a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel camera setup the on rear and the R15 Dream Mirror Edition is expected to feature a dual camera setup with 16-megapixel + 12-megapixel camera sensors. At front, both smartphones are likely to come with a 20-megapixel unit. The regular and Dream Mirror Edition are expected to house 3,365mAh and 3,300mAh batteries, respectively.
As of now, there is no word on the launch date and pricing of these devices. However OPPO is expected to launch this handsets towards the end of this month or in April.
