OPPO’s latest mid-range offerings Reno and its elder sibling Reno 10x Zoom (review) are all set to go for sale in India tomorrow, June 7th. The company took the wraps off the handsets at an event on May 28th in the country. While the standard Reno smartphone, powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC, is a mid-range offering from the brand, the Reno 10x Zoom is a flagship with Snapdragon 855 SoC under its hood and 10x hybrid zoom camera. Interested buyers will be able to purchase both the smartphones from offline retail stores as well as e-commerce platforms pan-India.
As for the price in India, OPPO Reno will be available for Rs 32,990 for the sole option with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. For the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, users will have to shell out Rs 39,990 for the base 6GB + 128G variant and Rs 49,990 for the 8GB + 256GB option. These phones come in Ocean Green and Jet Black colour options and will be available via Flipkart. Those who have pre-booked the handsets stand a chance to avail a 10 percent discount if they make payment via HDFC bank credit or debit card. Additional, they can avail a 10 percent cashback on exchange and assured buyback for a year, powered by Instacash.
Talking about the specifications, both Reno and Reno 10x Zoom feature an all-screen fascia, in-display fingerprint sensor, and wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera, which the brand calls the Shark Fin module. The Reno 10x Zoom has a better chipset and triple cameras that are said to offer lossless images of subjects at distant compared to the standard Reno smartphone. The former also packs a slightly bigger 4,065mAh battery than the 3,765mAh battery on its counterpart.
