OPPO has launched its brand new Reno series smartphones in India at an event today. The brand has released the OPPO Reno model as well as the Reno 10x Zoom smartphone in the country. While the standard OPPO Reno is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, the Reno 10x Zoom is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest top-notch Snapdragon 855 processor. Both the smartphones feature all-screen fascia, in-display fingerprint sensor, and wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera, which the brand calls the Shark Fin module.

OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom price in India

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom price in India starts at Rs 39,990 for the 6GB + 128G variant, while the 8GB + 256GB option costs Rs 49,990. The standard Reno phone is obviously more affordable, priced at Rs 32,990 for the sole option with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Buyers who make the purchase using a HDFC Bank credit or debit card will get 10 percent cashback. The handsets will come with international warranty in India. The duo will be available online as well as offline in India, with pre-orders slated to start today and first sale scheduled for June 7th.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom edition specifications

Talking about the high-end offering first, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom variant first, the phone has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 on top. The handset has three cameras at the back – a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP f/2.2 secondary shooter, and a 13MP f/3.0 third snapper. The smartphone flaunts PDAF, dual OIS, 4K recording at 60 or 30 frames per second, and an LED flash unit. For selfies, the device has been fitted with a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The key highlight of the handset is the 10x zoom lens that offers blur-free photos and videos.

As for the other specs, the Snapdragon 855 SoC on board the Reno 10x Zoom is accompanied by an Adreno 640 GPU. The phone comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 6GB / 8GB and 128GB / 256GB. On the software side of things, the handset boots ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS. A 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.

Coming to the standard OPPO Reno variant, the phone comes with a slightly smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED display featuring the same 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 6 layer up top. Under the hood, the handset has a Snapdragon 710 SoC, aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the rear, the smartphone offers a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera, aided by a 5MP secondary snapper and an LED flash unit. The handset’s selfie camera, connectivity options, software, and fast charging tech features are the same as the Reno 10X Zoom edition. A smaller 3,765mAh battery keeps the whole show running.
