
Smartphone brand OPPO is likely preparing to introduce the OPPO Reno 12 series, consisting of the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. However, ahead of the official announcement, the key specifications of the upcoming Reno 12, including its chipset, storage, camera, and battery details, have surfaced online. It is worth noting that some leaks about the phone had also emerged online recently.
OPPO Reno 12 key specifications leaked
Through Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the engineering prototype of the upcoming OPPO Reno 12 boasts the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
In terms of optics, the upcoming Reno 12’s prototype has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture and 2x optical zoom support. However, there is no mention of the phone’s selfie camera.
Regarding the battery, the engineering prototype features a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging technology. Additionally, the tipster mentioned that the upcoming phone’s major highlight will be its thin and light design, featuring a micro curved screen.

On the other hand, tipster Fixed Focus Digital (via Weibo) shared a render of the upcoming Reno device, which is likely the Reno 12. It shows a mint-coloured textured back panel with a camera module placed on the top left. The camera module consists of three lenses placed vertically with a flashlight, and the branding is done at the bottom.
