OPPO Reno 2 specifications

OPPO Reno 2

Starting with the OPPO Reno 2, the handset features a 6.55-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with an impressive 20:9 screen-to-body ratio and full-HD+ resolution. The display bears no notch of bezels whatsoever, but houses in-display fingerprint scanner 3.0 and Corilla Gorilla Glass 6 layer on top. The company claims that the OPPO Reno 2 display has an “improved E3 Sunlight Screen,” which offers sufficient brightness even in bright outdoor environments with less power consumption. The Snapdragon 730G gaming processor ticking at Reno 2’s core is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB user-expandable storage. The handset also features Hyper Boost 2.0, Touch Boost 2.0 + Frame Boost 2.0, and Engine Boost 2.0 to further enhance its performance.

In the camera department, the OPPO Reno 2 features a quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor that supports both OIS and EIS + 13-megapixel telephoto lens + 8-megapixel 116-degree wide-lens + 2-megapixel mono lens setup. The cameras support 5X hybrid zoom and 20X digital zoom to capture images of subjects far off with great details. The front camera gets a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling, and the phone’s camera app includes features such as ultra-dark mode, AI Beauty mode, HDR portrait, ultra macro shot, and portrait mode.

The OPPO Reno 2 runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 custom UI out of the box and houses a beefy 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

OPPO Reno 2Z specifications

OPPO Reno 2Z

The OPPO Reno 2Z, on the other hand, features a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, Corning Glass 5, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s powered by MediaTek’s Helio P90 mobile platform paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The performance of the handset is further boosted by Hyper Boost 2.0, Touch Boost 2.0 + Frame Boost 2.0, and Engine Boost 2.0.

For photography, there is the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with OIS on the rear aided by 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel mono lens, and 2-megapixel portrait lens. The front camera features 16-megapixel shooter that pops-up from the top-edge with ambient light, just like the Redmi K20 series. The cameras are backed by the same features as the OPPO Reno 2, except for the 5X optical zoom, OIS, and macro shot.

The entire setup is driven by a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0, while ColorOS 6 atop Android 9 Pie takes care of the software side of things.

OPPO Reno 2F specifications

OPPO Reno 2F

The OPPO Reno 2F is basically the younger sibling of Reno 2Z. It has the same 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera design with a 6.53-inch display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. At its core lies slightly underperforming MediaTek Helio P70 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone has a similar camera setup as the Reno 2Z, but instead of a 48-megapixel Sony sensor, it has a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 main sensor. The handset features Ultra Night Mode 2.0 for images in lowlight ambiance instead of the ultra-dark mode. The OPPO Reno 2F rocks Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 out of the box, and a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 30 fast charge rounds up its specs sheet.
