OPPO Reno 3, Reno 3 Pro with quad rear cameras and 5G support launched: prices, specifications

The OPPO Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro series has been launched as the brand’s latest mid-range offerings. This is the first Reno series lineup that comes with 5G connectivity and Android 10-based ColorOS 7 running out of the box. Both Reno 3 and its Pro sibling ship with quad rear cameras, gradient finish, up to 12GB of RAM, AMOLED screen with an optical fingerprint scanner, and a beefy battery that supports fast charging tech. The Reno 3 Pro sports a curved display with punch-hole design and Snapdragon 765G SoC, whereas the regular Reno 3 rocks a flat display with waterdrop notch and MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset ticking at its core.

OPPO Reno 3, Reno 3 Pro prices

OPPO has priced the Reno 3 at RMB 3,399 (~Rs 34,600) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The 12GB RAM + 128GB storage option of the phone costs RMB 3,699 (~Rs 37,600). As for the Reno 3 Pro, its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage options come with a sticker price of RMB 3,999 (~Rs 40,600) and RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,600). 

Both handsets come in Moonlight White, Moonlight Black, Bluestarry Night, and Sunrise Impression colour options. There is an additional Classic Blue version of the Reno 3 Pro as well, priced at RMB 4,199 (~Rs 42,600) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. The Reno 3 will be available for sale in the country from December 31st onwards in the country, while for the ‘Pro’ variant buyers have to wait till December 31st for the 128GB storage variant and 10th January 2020 for the 256GB storage option. There is no word about Reno 3 series launch in India yet.

OPPO Reno 3 specifications

Starting with the regular Reno 3 smartphone, the phone rocks MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 1000L SoC that also supports 5G connectivity. In the imaging department, the Reno 3 sports a 64MP quad rear cameras paired with 8MP 116-degree Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro, and 2MP mono lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it sports a 32MP shooter on the front. The Reno 3 sports a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen, with waterdrop notch atop and in-display fingerprint scanner.

OPPO Reno 3 Pro specifications

The Reno 3 Pro, meanwhile, sports a 6.5-inch OLED 90Hz display with Full-HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and punch-hole for selfie camera at the top left corner. The display supports HDR10+, offer an immersive experience with minimal bezels, and 92.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G gaming-focused chipset with 5G modem, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage onboard.

For photography, the quad rear cameras of the Reno 3 Pro sports a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, accompanied by a 13MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP black and white sensor. The front camera of the phone gets a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calling. Software-wise, the handset boots Android 10-based ColorOS 7 out of the box and houses a 4,025mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 30W fast charging. The Reno 3 Pro is just 7.7mm thick and weighs 171 grams. The phone’s connectivity options are the same as the Reno 3 smartphone.
