It seems OPPO is gearing up to launch a new Reno series smartphone in the global market since a smartphone with model number CPH2065 and moniker Reno4 Z 5G has been recently certified by Global Certification Forum (GCF). To recall, a smartphone with the same model number was recently approved by Bluetooth SIG and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as well. Even though these certifications don’t reveal much about the phone, the Reno4 Z 5G’s appearance on GCF hints at an imminent launch. Based on what we know so far, the Reno4 Z 5G could be a rebranded OPPO A92s.

OPPO Reno4 Z 5G specifications (expected)

Recently, the alleged OPPO Reno4 Z 5G with model number CPH2065 was listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification site, revealing some of the specifications. According to the listing, the phone will sport a 6.57-inch HD+ display. Under the hood, it’s said to be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek processor. The purported OPPO Reno4 Z 5G is listed with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery as well. The listing also disclosed that the phone will run ColorOS 7.1 and arrive with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 support.

The FCC listing reveals the sketch of the rear panel that suggests the upcoming Reno4 Z 5G will feature a square-shaped rear camera module along with an LED flash. If you look closely at the sketch, you can see that it’s reminiscent of the rear panel design of the OPPO A92s 5G.

OPPO A92s 5G specifications

The OPPO A92s 5G debuted back in April in China with a 6.57-inch FHD+ display. The screen also features a dual punch-hole camera cutout with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the optics front, it offers a quad-camera setup with the combination of a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash. Upfront, it houses a dual-punch hole camera with a 16-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone draws power from the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G chipset and comes in three variants – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. Under the hood, the OPPO A92s 5G is fuelled by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. The smartphone is available to purchase in China in black, white, and pink colour options.
