OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G smartphones have been launched in China as successors to the Reno4 series. The newest devices come with a punch-hole display, gradient colour finish, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and a vertically aligned rear-camera module. While the standard Reno5 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, the Reno5 Pro 5G ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with 65W fast-charging support, OLED 90Hz display, and the latest Android 11 OS out of the box. OPPO Reno5 and Reno5 Pro 5G prices, sale date
OPPO Reno5 5G price in China is set at RMB 2,699 (around Rs 30,400) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model and RMB 2,999 (approx 33,800) for the 12GB/256GB version. The Reno5 Pro 5G is priced at RMB 3,399 (approx Rs 38,300) for the 8GB/128GB variant and RMB 3,799 (around Rs 42,800) for the 12GB/256GB model. Both the phones will be on sale in China from December 18th and are now up for pre-orders. OPPO has introduced the Reno5 Pro 5G New Year’s Edition as well with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage and it goes on sale on December 29th.
OPPO Reno5 5G specifications
OPPO Reno5 flaunts a 6.43-inch full HD+ OLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and punch-hole display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. It runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 custom skin out of the box. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a 4,300mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support.
As for the cameras, OPPO Reno5 5G has a quad-camera setup at the back that includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens with 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono portrait lens. It has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. The handset measures 159.1×73.4×7.9mm mm and weighs just 172 grams.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and the same punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The phone ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. It boots Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 custom skin out of the box and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone packs a 4,350mAh battery and supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging.
Moving to optics, OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens with 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono portrait lens.
