OPPO Reno 6 5G could be in the works already as the successor to the Reno5 lineup. Now, noted leakster Digital Chat Station has shared key specifications of a mysterious OPPO phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, with many speculating this could be the OPPO Reno 6 5G. The leak claims the phone will have an AMOLED display with curved edges, punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, 65W fast-charging support, and possibly boot Android 11 OS with ColorOS custom skin out of the box. While the exact OPPO Reno 6 5G launch timeline wasn’t revealed, the phone may debut sometime around June in China and eventually expand to other markets.

OPPO Reno 6 5G is tipped to sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 2,400 X 1,080 pixels resolution, and punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and have a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The alleged OPPO Reno 6 5G could be equipped with a quad-camera setup, comprising of a 64MP primary sensor. A 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support will fuel the phone.
Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t spill the beans on RAM, storage, complete camera details and other features. We can speculate the Reno 6 5G may pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that should be further expandable. Connectivity features may include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
In addition to the standard Reno 6 5G, there could be Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 Pro+ 5G in the next-gen lineup. We can speculate the former may come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and the latter with Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform.
