OPPO Reno 8, OPPO Reno 8 Pro India launch date confirmed: expected price, specifications

OPPO is banking on the camera features on the OPPO Reno 8 and OPPO Reno 8 Pro as it has been teasing the same on its social media handles. The launch event should be held online and will be live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel.

OPPO Reno 8 series prices (expected)

OPPO Reno 8 price in India is said to be Rs 29,990 for the 8GB/128GB model, Rs 31,990 for the 8GB/256GB version and Rs 33,990 for the 12GB/256GB model. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro is said to be priced between Rs 42,900 and Rs 46,000. Like with most Reno models, they should be sold via Flipkart and offline stores and the company is said to offer a Rs 3,000 instant discount via Bank offers.

OPPO Reno 8 flaunts a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin out of the box.

Moving to optics, the OPPO Reno 8 features a triple camera array at the back, with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, a 2MP B&W sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 32MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. 

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The OPPO Reno 8 is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
