OPPO Reno 8 series debuted in China late last month as successors to the OPPO Reno 7 lineup. The brand is yet to confirm the India launch but we’re pretty sure they will be coming to the market much like the previous generation Reno models. OPPO had introduced three models in China: the OPPO Reno 8, OPPO Reno 8 Pro, and OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ but there are chances the brand might bring only two among them to India. According to the report, the OPPO Reno 8 series will debut in India on July 18th. Furthermore, the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro Plus are said to debut in the country but the latter will be rebranded as Reno 8 Pro. This means, unlike the China version (of the Reno 8 Pro) that shipped with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, it would come with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.

The OPPO Reno 8 series is said to debut in India on July 18th and only the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro (which is actually Reno 8 Pro+) will be made available. This means the India variant of the Reno 8 Pro could feature MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.

OPPO Reno 8 sports a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

OPPO Reno 8 houses a MariSilicon X chip and features a triple camera setup at the back, with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera coupled, a 2MP B&W sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 32MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. OPPO Reno 8 is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ also runs on the same Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.

OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ comes with a MariSilicon X-powered triple rear camera, with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, it has a 32MP snapper on the front.

The Reno 8 Pro+ features an in-display fingerprint reader for security. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
