“The OPPO Reno Android 10-based ColorOS 6 beta update comes with a system-wide dark mode, Smart Replies, and Live Captions, among other new features”
OPPO Reno has finally got the taste of Android 10 as the brand has released the ColorOS 6 public beta for the handset in the Chinese market. Notably, the ColorOS 6 public beta update comes with a system-wide dark mode and you will also get the improvements that Android 10 brings along in general. These include Live captions that help people who either cannot hear the videos voluntarily or due to handicap, Smart Replies, and improved privacy options. Although there has been no update regarding the OPPO Reno 10x zoom from the company, the handset can be expected to receive the Android 10 update soon as well.
To recall, the OPPO Reno smartphone is a mid-range offering from that brand that is powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC. The handset comes with an all-screen front with a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath, a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera, which has been described by the brand as the Shark Fin module. In terms of optics, the handset comes with a 48MP camera on the rear inside a dual sensor module. The 3,765mAh battery on the handset supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
Considering how Android manufacturers usually take a long time to move to the latest version of Android, it seems like a positive development that brands like OnePlus, Nokia, and OPPO are not wasting any time to make the move this time around. We will just have to wait and see how long the update takes to come out of beta to a full-scale stable release now.
