“OPPO sub-brand Reno is expected to launch five smartphones in the series, namely the Reno Pro, Reno Plus, Reno Zoom, Reno Lite, and Reno Youth”
It’s no secret that OPPO‘s sub-brand Reno would be introducing its first smartphone(s) on April 10th. We already know the OPPO Reno will have multiple variants, including the Lamborghini Edition with Snapdragon 855, 10x lossless zoom, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Now, according to the trademark applications submitted to the EUIPO and to the UK’s IPO, there are five smartphones in the Reno series including the Reno Pro, Reno Plus, Reno Zoom, Reno Lite, and Reno Youth.
The Reno Pro should be the flagship model with CPH1919 and CPH1921 codenames that have appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification database. It is powered by the Snapdragon 855 and will also have a 5G variant including the regular 4G. The phone is widely expected to sport a 6.65-inch full HD+ display and will have a triple rear camera setup with 48MP + 8MP + 13MP sensors at the back and a 16MP front-facing shooter. The Reno Pro runs on ColorOS v6.0 UI which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The CPH1921 variant will have X50 5G modem. The company has already teased a Reno variant with 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and ‘no holes’.
Going by the name, Reno Plus might have a relatively large display or massive battery. There are reports about a Reno phone with 4,800mAh battery and SuperVOOC 3.0 Flash Charge support, so this could be Reno Plus in question. The Reno Zoom makes the phone’s key feature quite obvious and this might be the Reno smartphone with 10x lossless zoom. This variant might have a 48MP primary camera and a secondary wide-angle camera and a third 8MP zoom sensor. The Reno Zoom variant might be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC and a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ display.
Lastly, the Reno Youth and Reno Lite should be the trimmed down versions of the standard Reno phone. At this moment, nothing is confirmed and are pretty much based on rumours but with the launch around the corner, we should know more details very soon, so stay tuned.
