Considering the high price tag, it is likely the OPPO Reno S smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. OPPO already has the Reno Ace with 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast-charging tech that was launched last month, but it’s limited to China for now. Apart from the 65W charging, it has the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor as well. However, its primary camera has 48MP resolution, which means the Reno S will likely be a new phone altogether rather than a rebranded Reno Ace.

When it launches in December, the OPPO Reno S will be the first smartphone in India with 65W fast-charging support. The Super VOOC 2.0 65W charging tech is claimed to take a 4,000mAh battery from zero to 50 percent in roughly 10 minutes and fully charge it in less than 27 minutes.

OPPO Reno S will be only the second phone with 65W fast-charging in India when it launches

OPPO launched the Reno series in India in June this year with the Reno 10X Zoom and Reno smartphones. These were followed by the Reno 2, Reno 2Z, and Reno 2F smartphones in September. Prices of the series have been under Rs 40,000 so far, meaning the Reno S will be the lineup’s most premium offering yet.
