OPPO Reno new teaser highlights dual texture glass back

“OPPO Reno’s new teaser reveals the standard edition’s glass back with a dual texture finish. The handset packs a Snapdragon 710 SoC, 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth unit.”

OPPO Reno is probably the most awaited flagship of the season, thanks to the hype building around it. The company has released yet another teaser image ahead of tomorrow’s launch and this time around, the teaser image showcases the glass back with a dual texture finish. The handset can be seen with a glossy line along the rear panel for the OPPO branding. As the phone has a dual rear camera setup, we believe, the new teaser belongs to Reno’s standard variant. OPPO claims that it uses “AG matte sanding process that combines matte and gloss on a single piece of glass to make the colour more tactile,” (as per the translated text).

The top-end variant of the OPPO Reno will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 flagship chipset and will most likely be called as the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. As the handset is all about the camera, it will feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 13MP 10x lossless zoom telephoto sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide third sensor. The company has also been teasing the camera capabilities with sample images taken from the phone. The handset will pack a 6.65-inch OLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percentage and runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The flagship model will come with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage options. It will be available in Black, Blue, and Green colour options. A Vietnam based tipster claims the high-end Reno smartphone could be placed between VND 14 million and VND 15 million (about Rs 41,500 to Rs 44,500). At least three different variants of OPPO Reno are expected to be launched on April 10th. While the standard Reno variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 710, the Reno Lite will use the MediaTek Helio P70. The standard Reno model is expected to pack a 16-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 5-megapixel depth unit.

With the launch just a day away, we don’t have to wait too long to know more details about the most-hyped OPPO Reno series. Stay tuned in for more updates.
