“The OPPO Reno will feature 10x Optical zoom thanks to a periscope style camera”
As the launch date draws closer, new details about the OPPO Reno have been surfacing online. OPPO will be launching the new flagship phone on April 10th, alongside other variants of the phone. We already know that the smartphone would feature a triple-rear camera setup, but we did not have specific details about the sensors until just now. OPPO has now officially announced the details via a listing online.
The phone is already available for pre-order online and the listing has revealed key details about its camera setup. As per the listing, the top end variant of the phone will most likely be called as the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. Coming to the camera specifications, the phone will feature a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, as expected. The 10x lossless zoom telephoto sensor will have a resolution of 13-megapixels and there will also be an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
This is the camera setup on the top variant of the OPPO Reno smartphone. This variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor and will come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The storage and RAM configurations were also revealed by the listing. You can choose between 6GB RAM+128GB storage or 6GB/8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will be available in Black, Blue, and Green colour options.
The OPPO Reno 10X Zoom smartphone will also feature dual-frequency GPS, which should improve accuracy in dense areas such as cities with lots of buildings around. Just yesterday, a leak also revealed the pricing for the one of the variants of Reno. The company has also been posting sample images taken from the phone in order to promote its camera performance.
We expect the company to reveal at least three different variants of the phone. One of the variants will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, whereas another model will use the Snapdragon 710 processor. Other specifications of the phone include, a 6.65-inch AMOLED display, a pop-up selfie camera featuring a very unusual mechanism, Android 9.0 Pie operating system with ColourOS 6.0 on top, and Ultra Clear Night View 2.0.
